Like many other models in the PT series, the PT04 integrates both smoke detection and carbon monoxide (CO) monitoring into a single device, providing protection against fire hazards as well as the silent and potentially deadly risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. It also goes a step further by detecting natural gas leaks (methane), which can occur due to faulty appliances or gas lines. The PT04 features loud, distinct audible alarms for each type of hazard, fire, carbon monoxide, and natural gas, each with its own unique sound pattern to help users quickly identify the threat. Battery powered for easy installation without the need for wiring, many models also include long life batteries, such as 10 year sealed lithium options, ensuring reliable operation over extended periods.
